Charlie Daniels will be the headline act for this year's Sevier County Fair. The announcement was made June 23rd. He and his band are scheduled to perform Sept. 6 at the arena area of the fairground.
"The residents of Sevier County
will see a number of great changes to the fair this year," County Mayor
Larry Waters said. "Charlie Daniels is the icing on the cake, and we're
very excited to have him return to our area to perform."
Daniels'
career spans four decades and has resulted in over 18 million records
sold. His hits include "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," "In America,"
"Uneasy Rider," "The South's Gonna Do It," "Long Haired Country Boy,"
"Still in Saigon" and "The Legend of Wooley Swamp."
"It's
purely American music with something for everyone," he said. "At least
that's what I've hoped for in my 40-plus years in music."
A
limited number of reserved seats will be available. These 1,500 seats
will go on sale in late July at all Tickets Unlimited locations for $20
each which includes fair gate admission. General admission tickets to
