A new era of transportation to the top of Mt. Harrison in Gatlinburg, Tennessee begins when the original cable cars of the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway are replaced by a pair of modernized giant vehicles later this month. The recent cold weather brought as much as 30 inches of snow to the Gatlinburg area over the past week. Of course, most of that was manmade, though the foothills did get a dusting of Mother Nature’s vintage this week.
